TOM PORTER

As President/CEO, Tom oversees the operations of the company. His success is founded on a common sense approach, and surrounding himself with high quality professionals.

Tom assists clients in preparing for, designing, implementing, and sustaining their organizational sales and HR related strategies. Components of these strategies include needs assessments, job competencies, team building, best hiring practices, harassment, diversity and coaching processes.

He has worked with Fortune-500 firms like Campbell Soup, ConAgra, Beckman Coulter, Black & Decker, Pacific Life, Canon USA, State Street, and Kawasaki USA as well as smaller companies.

Tom is active in the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and was the 2003 Orange Country, CA Chapter President. He is also involved with the National Human Resources Association (NHRA), National Speakers Association (NSA), Association of Professional Consultants (APC) and TEC International.   BEVERLY I. NEWTON

Beverly I. Newton, MHROD, primary areas of focus include professional development, transition management, valuing team diversity, communication styles and conflict resolution.

Beverly received her Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. The title of her Master’s thesis was Organizational culture clash: The effect of post-merger transition on customer service quality.  Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Social Sciences with a major in Sociology and a minor in Psychology from San Diego State University.

She has served as Vice-President of People for a major construction company and has experience in the airline industry. Beverly is known for her strengths and experience in analyzing organizational processes, optimizing performance and human potential through clarifying goals, valuing diversity, promoting collaboration of new ideas, discovering untapped resources and improving interdepartmental communication affecting organizational efficiencies.

  ALICIA ORTIZ

Alicia Ortiz provides human resources consulting services specializing in strategic planning, employee relations, management coaching and development, training, compensation, and special projects.

Alicia has over 15 years of diverse and in-depth professional human resources experience with major companies including Beckman Coulter, Dade International (formerly a division of Baxter Healthcare Corporation), AST Research, Canon Business Machines, and Unisys Corporation.

She has co-developed and implemented strategic plans, established human resource information systems, provided individual and management development, and supported organizational restructure and change efforts. Alicia has extensive employee relations experience including conducting sexual harassment related and violence in the workplace related investigations and training. Alicia has extensive staffing experience at all levels.

Alicia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from the California State University at Fullerton. She is fluently bi-lingual in English and Spanish. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) by the American Compensation Association.
